This Junior from Crewe Virginia (Nottoway HS) is entering his third season at running back for the Panthers. Harris was the second leading rusher in 2009 with 648 yards, and owned the highest yards per carry average at 8.1 ypc. Look for Steven to be the workhorse for the Panthers this year in the option attack. Harris was named All Conference honorable mention and was also recognized in 2009 for his accomplishments in the classroom by being named to the USA South Academic All Conference team.
A solid running back, Harris combines his strength and speed along with excellent field vision to elude defenders, and find the end zone.
Since i have known Steven Harris, he ALWAYS been a hard worker. Never giving up which didnt allow him to remain the same but to become better than he was yesturday. What ever he puts his mind to, the finishing outcome are always postive results. He is a true example of a person that works hard and does right by other people, that they will be blessed surely.
