The last time Ferrum held an opponent scoreless was Sept. 23, 2006 when they defeated the Hornets of Shenandoah University 42-0 at Ferrum.
The last time the Panthers were shutout was September 9, 2000 when the Panthers fell to the Emory and Henry Wasps 10-0 at Ferrum.
The first football victory for Ferrum came in its second game of the 1955 inaugural season. The visiting VMI freshmen team, lead by quarterback Bobby Ross, were defeated by the Panthers 18-13.
The longest punt by a Panther punter is 68 yards by Richard Harr. He twice hit punts of 68 yards. In 1997 vs. Rowan, and in 1998 vs. Methodist
Scott Puschell and Clint Slappey hold the record for the longest Ferrum field goal. 47 yards.
Ferrum has never been ranked in D3 football.com's Top 25. It was ranked 26th in 2005, but has never cracked the top 25 in this poll.
For the 2010 season, Ferrum ranked 138th in the nation in home attendance. The average attendance for home games was 1552. This placed them fourth in the conference behind CNU, Maryville and Shenandoah.
Ferrum has NEVER gone winless in a season? They were held to only one win in 1956, 57, 59 and 96, but have never gone without a win.
