Did You Know.......
The last time Ferrum held an opponent scoreless was September 22nd 2018 as the Panthers defeated Greensboro College 81-0, at Ferrum. Before that, it was on October 1st, 2016 when they blanked the Pride of Greensboro College, 30-0. The game was played in Greensboro, N.C.
The last time the Panthers were shutout was October 26th, 2024 when the Panthers fell to Washington and Lee 34-0 at Ferrum.
The first football victory for Ferrum came in its second game of the 1955 inaugural season. The visiting VMI freshmen team, lead by quarterback Bobby Ross, were defeated by the Panthers 18-13.
The longest punt by a Panther punter is 72 yards. This was set September 17th 2016 by Tyler Morgan against Hampden-Sydney.
Seth Deaton holds the record for the longest Ferrum field goal. 48 yards, kicked against Guilford on November 2nd 2024.
Ferrum has never been ranked in D3 football.com's Top 25. It was ranked 26th in 2005, but has never cracked the top 25 in this poll.
Ferrum has NEVER gone winless in a season. They were held to only one win in 1956, 57, 59, 96 and 2014 but have never gone without a win.
