Two Panthers recognized as
USA South Players of the week

Quaterback Marcus Mayo, and Linebacker Jamar Mosley have been recognized by the USA South.

The following is extracted from the USA South Conference website:

Football Offensive Player of the Week: Marcus Mayo, Ferrum - The sophomore quarterback from Lexington, Virginia accumulated 229 yards of total offense and three touchdowns in a 24-10 win over USA South rival Maryville. Mayo completed 5-of-11 passes for 96 yards and two touchdowns. In addition, Mayo carried the ball 20 times for 133 yards, good for a 6.7 yard average and one score. Also Nominated: Tunde Ogun, Chris. Newport; Phillip Kwiatkowski, Averett.

Football Defensive Rookie of the Week : Jamar Moseley, Ferrum - The freshman linebacker from Chesterfield, Virginia recorded 11 total tackles in a 24-10 win over USA South foe Maryville. Moseley tallied five solo tackles and six assisted take downs. He recorded 1.5 tackles for a total loss of three yards. Also Nominated: Kwame Benson, Greensboro; Mario Huffman, Averett.
