While losing is never enjoyable, Ferrum's Women's Basketball team should board the bus with their heads held high. Tonight, Ferrum ran into a much taller and much more experienced basketball team in the form of the Bears of Washington University of St. Louis (Ranked #9 in the Nation). The Panthers lost 79-64.
Still, Ferrum showed their metal, and never gave up. Playing a team that has been to the NCAA tournament 24 of the last 26 years, and has been in the championship game the last 2 years, (winning in 2010, and being National Runner Up last year) Ferrum was not intimidated, and represented the College with strength and integrity...as they have done all season. They should be very proud of their effort.
Way to go Panthers!!!
