Game Preview:
N.C. Wesleyan @ Ferrum

As we head into conference play, Ferrum faces a very tough stretch. Starting with homecoming, Ferrum plays a very capable North Carolina Wesleyan team, that took CNU to the brink before losing to the Captains by 3. The Bishops feature a running back in Jacques Alston, who, last week, broke the NCWC all time career rushing record.  This season, he is averaging 108 yards per game, and has 4 touchdowns in three games.
Ferrum must come out hitting on all cylinders in order to stay in the game. They will need for the offense to continue to gain on the improvements  of last week, and for the defense to turn in a stellar performance to slow down Alston. On the surface, after looking at the first two games, there is not a lot of reason for optimism. But before we count Ferrum out, consider this. Ferrum's two losses have come against ODAC teams. Most anyone will tell you that the ODAC is a stronger conference than the USA South. NC Wesleyan, in their two losses, have given up 71 points.

Even with the homecoming crowd behind them, it will take a major effort to pull off the win. Ferrum will show improvement, but not enough this week.

The rest of the conference- Last week, I was 2 right, and 3 wrong.....This week, I see it this way.
