GAMEDAY: Ferrum @ Brevard

On the Road Again as Willie says, and this time Ferrum travels to Brevard North Carolina to take on the Brevard Tornados. Ferrum is coming off of a big win over LaGrange, and will look to keep the momentum going today.
Brevard likes to pass, and will do this throughout the game. They are averaging 26 points per game, and 230 passing yards per game. O'Shay Carter is the Tornados quarterback, and he is 109 of 181 with 3 interceptions.

Things to keep in mind....

This is a Division II team, reclassifying to a Division III team. This means that there are likely some athletes that were offered scholarships for Division II football. This should not be an issue as overall, they do not seem all that big on the roster.

They have played Emory and Henry, Huntingdon, and LaGrange, losing to all three. Common opponents that they have beaten include Methodist (which Ferrum plays October 28th), and Greensboro (which Ferrum plays  November 4th). Overall, I see this as a win for Ferrum today. They should be tested through the air, but overall, I see this as a Panther win.

Things to watch for. Since this is a non conference game, I look for Ferrum to utilize a lot of players who may not ordinarily get a lot of playing time. Expect Ferrum to use multiple running backs, and possibly a couple of non starting quarterbacks to fill in once the game is in hand.

Lastly, we need Averett to lose. They are playing North Carolina Wesleyan, and it is possible that the Bishops could pull the upset. They have a good amount of talent, and could give the Cougars a run for their money........but in the end I think Averett will prevail......but we can hope.
